How and when do I receive my test results?

Our office will notify you by phone, the results of labs, pathology reports, and abnormal Pap smears / HPV tests. Based on your stated preference, we will notify you by email, text, or post delivered letter the results of normal Pap smear / HPV tests. Mammogram results are sent to you by the facility performing the mammogram. We always notify you of your test results. If you do not receive results from us, please call our office 630.717.9977.

What do I do if I need a refill of my prescription?

If you have been to our office within the past year and you need to refill a recurring prescription, please have your pharmacy send us a refill request. Non-emergency prescription refills are only filled during regular office hours.

If you have not had an appointment with us in the past year, please phone our office to schedule an exam and we will assess your need for medication.

May I request a specific physician to deliver my baby?

During your pregnancy, you will be seen by all of our physicians. Please know our physicians meet weekly to discuss your progress, to coordinate care, and to collaborate with concerns. At the time of your delivery, our on-call physician will care for you. If you require an induction or an elective cesarean section, we will attempt to schedule your requested physician.

May I request a midwife to deliver my baby?

Our midwife is skilled and experienced in obstetric care and delivery, yet she does not perform deliveries. Our physicians perform all deliveries.

At what hospital will my baby be delivered?

We are affiliated with Edward Hospital, acclaimed as one of the 100 Great American Hospitals by Becker’s Hospital Review. For high-risk pregnancy patients, we coordinate care with Edward Hospital’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists. Our office is conveniently located on the Edward Hospital campus.

Do you accept my insurance provider?

We are contracted with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and United Healthcare PPO, yet there may be exceptions. If you are insured with a different PPO, most insurance plans will cover our services with an out-of-network rate. Out-of-network rates are determined by your insurance provider.

We have no contracts with any insurance HMO’s. If you have an HMO plan, your insurance carrier will not provide coverage for our services.

We encourage you to directly contact your insurance provider to verify your benefits and coverage. Patients are responsible for charges that are not covered by their insurance. We are happy to help with any insurance questions you may have.

Do I have to pay at the time of service?

All co-pays are to be paid at the time of service. If you have not met your deductible, you are responsible for charges at the time of service. If you need to make special arrangements for payment, please call our billing service, Greenway Revenue Service, 855.378.0962.

Will Medicare pay for an annual exam?

Medicare does not provide coverage for an annual exam.

Medicare provides coverage for bi-annual exams. A bi-annual exam includes a breast exam, pelvic exam, and Pap Smear. Also, Medicare provides coverage for exams that are necessary for a range of gynecologic problems such as menopausal symptoms and post-menopausal bleeding.
